Production Supervisor

Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Production Supervisor for our client based out of Dublin, VA .

This assignment is anticipated to be a 6-month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment.

This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule .

Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and support employees within a manufacturing or warehouse operation.
• Coordinate daily staffing, scheduling, timekeeping, and workforce needs.
• Oversee day-to-day performance related to safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and operational goals.
• Conduct daily team meetings and communicate priorities, expectations, and performance needs.
• Address workforce concerns including attendance, overtime, safety, performance, and workplace procedures.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and identify opportunities to improve processes and eliminate waste.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify operational issues and develop effective solutions.
• Ensure employees follow applicable safety, environmental, health, and workplace requirements.
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and development to team members.

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role required.
• 3+ years of manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred, ideally within a unionized environment.
• Associate degree or higher preferred.
• Strong leadership, coaching, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel; Power BI experience preferred.
• Lean manufacturing experience and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.
• Experience managing staffing, employee performance, timekeeping, safety, quality, and continuous improvement activities.
• Ability to make timely decisions and manage priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
