Job Title: Sr. Manufacturing Engineer Location: Leetsdale, PA Type: Direct Hire Work Model: Onsite – onsite Hours: 40.0

Responsibilities

• Supports resolution of technical manufacturing issues, including those spanning cross-functional business processes.
• Implements Quality Control requirements in coordination with the Quality team.
• Documents and submits product improvement recommendations as appropriate.
• Improves product quality and lowers manufacturing costs by maximizing efficiency and developing optimal procedures using 6S and lean methodologies.
• Confirms new products can be manufactured cost-effectively prior to market launch.
• Develops and maintains SOPs and work instructions for manufacturing processes per established formats.
• Identifies strategic cost reductions that don't create offsetting cost increases elsewhere.
• Develops and maintains procedures ensuring product routings are complete, accurate, and reflect lean thinking, including appropriate use of time studies.
• Reduces existing manufacturing lead times.
• Reduces manufacturing lot sizes to lower overall inventory levels.
• Minimizes materials movement within manufacturing processes.
• Coordinates with other company facilities to align on manufacturing best practices.
• Provides technical support as needed.
• Develops databases, software applications, and other systems to measure key manufacturing performance metrics, define improvement strategies, and sustain gains.
• Directs outside vendors in designing and manufacturing fixtures for machining and assembly operations.
• Troubleshoots equipment and process issues as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; BSME or BSIE preferred.
• 7+ years of progressively responsible manufacturing leadership experience, or equivalent education/experience, with a strong record of manufacturing operational improvements.
• Experience in fluid power or a related industry preferred.
• ERP experience preferred; SAP experience strongly preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to schedule and facilitate issue-related meetings required.
