Senior Regional Development Officer

Position Summary Reporting to the Executive Director of Development for Regional Programs, the Senior Regional Development Officer will represent the University in one or more geographic regions and maintain a personal portfolio of top prospects to identify, cultivate and solicit principal and major gifts. Responsibilities Coordinate with the University's overall fundraising program. Maintain a personal portfolio of top prospects. Identify, cultivate and solicit principal and major gifts to support the University. Represent the University in assigned geographic regions. Travel and weekend work as required. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Master’s or Bachelor’s degree with 0–2 years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Proven verbal and written communication skills. Ability to motivate and engender confidence in prospects and donors. Effective interaction in a comprehensive environment such as a research university. Exhibit professionalism, collaboration, initiative, critical thinking, good judgment, consistency of output, timeliness. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience 5–7 years of demonstrated principal and major gift fundraising or transferrable experience. Preference for candidates living in the Metro New York area.
