A Brief Overview This Level 2/experienced therapist should demonstrate the mastery of most clinical skills and focuses on improving other skills where necessary. This skills includes assessment skills and the active assessment of respiratory therapies needed and procedures according to the respiratory protocols.

What You Will Do:

• Mechanical ventilation
• Medicated aerosol delivery
• Airway clearance therapy
• Patient monitoring
• Oxygen and humidity therapy
• Special procedures (CPR, specialty gases, bronchoscopy, transport, etc.)

Additional Responsibilities:

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Complies with all policies and standards.
• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate's Degree in Respiratory (Required) or Bachelor's Degree in Respiratory (Required)
• Work Experience: 3+ years RRT (Required)
• Licenses and Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) (Required), Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) (Preferred), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) (Preferred), Current RCP Ohio License granted by the Ohio Medical Board (Required), AARC membership within 6 months of hire date (Required), NRP Certified (Neonatal facilities) (Required within 6 Months)

Position Details/Preferred Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of recent experience is required.
• Position is (2) 8 hour and (2) 12 hour shifts for a total of 40 hours per week, Mon-Fri, with rotating weekends and holidays.
