About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Dubuque, Iowa, 52001!

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: - Minimum of 24 months of experience in Med Surg, Med Tele, or Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). - Must have completed at least one travel contract in the previous 12 months. - Experience administering Heparin and Insulin is required. License: - Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license is required. Certifications: - Basic Life Support (BLS) - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) - NIH Stroke Scale certificate (highly preferred) Must-Have: - Work history must reflect 24 months of current Med Surg, Tele, or Med/Tele experience. - Skills checklist must be specific to the discipline listed in the job. - Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, or CNO/COO within the last 24 months. Description: Quickly interviewing viable candidates. This is a Nursing Float/Central Resource position. The position is for 3x12 hour shifts, totaling 36 hours per week. Holiday rotation is required, with no on-call responsibilities. Nurses will be expected to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming summer holidays unless the unit is closed. The unit has a bed size of 63. Staffing ratios are 1:4-5. Patient types include Med Surg, Rehabilitation, and Behavioral health. Nursing staff will float across general Med Surg, rehab, and behavioral health. Scrub colors required are pewter grey. Experience with EMR, specifically EPIC, is required.
