Project Manager

Overview As a Project Manager, you will play a key role in coordinating with partners and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of critical business projects. Project Managers navigate obstacles and work closely with functional team members to guide each project to completion. This role requires cross‑functional collaboration and impeccable organization skills to deliver projects in a timely manner and within budget. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of project management or related work experience. Associate's degree and 5+ years of project management or related work experience. High School Diploma or equivalent and 7+ years of project management or related work experience. Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master’s = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration/Management, Computer Science, or related field. PMO, PMP, Agile Methodology, or Six Sigma Project Management Certification. 5+ years of project management experience or related work experience. 1+ year of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above). 1+ year of working with operating budgets, resources, and/or project financials. 1+ year of experience working with project management tools (e.g., Visio). 1+ year of experience working in a large matrixed organization. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Works with stakeholders to establish project goals and prioritizes deliverables under minimal supervision. Gathers requirements within a cross‑functional team to develop project plans for small‑ to medium‑sized projects. Creates and manages project data such as project specific metrics, updating project schedules, status updates, report preparation, database maintenance, and project data maintenance to monitor progress; escalates metric deviations in a timely manner. Supports the management and proactive mitigation of project issues and risks by anticipating, analyzing, identifying and resolving risks for small projects. Communicates real‑time updates to the project members within own team regarding scheduling conflicts and budget disparities. Assists in the development, piloting, and training of new tools/methods used for system wide implementation with guidance and supervision. Level of Responsibility Works independently with minimal supervision. Provides supervision/guidance to other team members. Decision‑making may affect work beyond immediate work group. Requires verbal and written communication skills to convey complex information; may require basic negotiation, influence, tacit skills. Works within the prescribed budgetary objectives of the department. Has a moderate amount of influence over key organizational decisions (e.g., is consulted by senior leadership to make key decisions). Tasks do not have defined steps; planning, problem-solving, and prioritization must occur to complete tasks effectively.
