RN - ICU (Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12 hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:30.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide care for patients in the Cardiac Surgical Intensive Care Unit (CICU). The RN will also manage overflow patients from the Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), Trauma ICU, and Neuro ICU, with a primary focus on cardiology.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing nursing interventions.
• Manage complex patient needs in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Monitor and interpret diagnostic tests and find solutions to complex health issues.
• Rotate through other ICU units and border areas as needed.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of critical care experience in a Level I Trauma facility.
• ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications required; TNCC and CCRN preferred.
• Prior travel experience is required.
• Must have experience in trauma or surgical ICU; specialized CVICU or Medical ICU experience alone is not sufficient.
