Care Career is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Rock Island, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Med Surg Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/16/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Travel RN – Med-Surg / Stepdown Shift: Nights, 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts per week Weekly Hours: 36 hours EMR: Epic Patient Ratio: 1:5–6 days; 1:6–7 nights Scrubs: Black or Navy Blue Position Details RN will provide and manage patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team. Must be willing to float across local campuses within the same discipline. May float to Stepdown as needed. Works with Patient Care Technicians (PCTs). Every other weekend required. First-time travelers accepted. Must live more than 50 miles from the facility based on taxable address. Madison may accept local candidates with a 10% rate reduction. Facility location: Rock Island area; confirm exact campus. Requirements Minimum 2 years of Med-Surg RN experience — required. Stepdown/Cardiac experience — preferred. Active Iowa or Illinois RN license, as applicable. BLS (AHA) — required. ACLS (AHA) — required. Driver’s license — required. Updated resume/work history. Skills checklist completed within the past year. License verification. Copies of required certifications. One supervisory reference required at submission.
