Senior Accountant | Deeptech Start‑up | New York (Hybrid) Up to $130k + bonus + equity The Business Harmonic are excited to be partnering with a fast-growth Deeptech Start-up at a pivotal point in its journey. With operations across multiple international locations and a strong leadership team, the company is entering an exciting phase of growth and commercialisation. As the business continues to scale, they are investing in building a best-in-class finance function capable of supporting international operations, increasing complexity, and future growth initiatives. This is a great opportunity for a technically strong accountant looking to join a high-growth environment where they can gain exposure on process improvements, operational finance, reporting and controls. The Role Own the monthly, quarterly, and yearly close processes. Assist with the preparation of financial statements and similar disclosures. Contribute on regulatory and compliance challenges and issues. Assist with the implementation and maintenance of internal controls and SOX‑compliant processes. Support the development of scalable accounting policies and procedures as the business expands further. Partner with stakeholders across finance, operations and leadership teams on ad‑hoc projects and business initiatives. Perform account reconciliations across key balance sheet accounts – cash, accruals, payments, prepayments and fixed assets. 3+ years of accounting experience within public accounting. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Background in Hardware, Deeptech, Semi‑conductor, Quantum Computing (preference but open to any kind of tech background). Exposure to SOX compliance. Experience with public company reporting requirements. Experience with government contracts, grants or R&D intensive businesses.
