Principal Consultant – Supply Chain Transformation Service

Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Principal Consultant to help global enterprises transform their end‑to‑end supply chains through a combination of deep domain expertise, AI‑led consulting, advanced analytics, and digital transformation. The role requires a seasoned supply chain leader who understands how complex supply chain functions from planning and procurement through manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, and customer fulfillment operate, and can partner with executive stakeholders to redesign decision‑making, improve operational performance, and unlock business value through AI.
Responsibilities
- Advising senior client executives on transforming end‑to‑end supply chain capabilities using AI, advanced analytics, and digital technologies.
- Leading strategic transformation initiatives spanning Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP/IBP, Procurement, Manufacturing, Inventory Optimization, Logistics, Warehouse Operations, Order Fulfillment, and Supply Chain Control Towers.
- Assessing current operating models, planning processes, organizational capabilities, and technology landscapes to identify transformation opportunities.
- Developing future‑state operating models, business capabilities, AI roadmaps, and implementation strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Acting as a trusted advisor to Supply Chain, Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Digital Transformation leadership teams.
- Driving growth of AI consulting and supply chain transformation services across strategic enterprise accounts.
- Developing executive‑level transformation narratives tailored to industry‑specific supply chain challenges.
- Building and managing a pipeline of consulting opportunities through executive relationships, strategic account development, and thought leadership.
- Expanding consulting engagements within existing clients by identifying additional transformation opportunities across the supply chain value chain.
- Leading executive discovery workshops to understand business priorities, operational pain points, and strategic transformation goals.
- Translating complex supply chain challenges into AI‑enabled business solutions with measurable business outcomes.
- Developing executive business cases, value hypotheses, transformation roadmaps, and ROI assessments.
- Leading solution envisioning sessions, executive presentations, and consulting proposals.
- Collaborating with Data Science, Engineering, Product, and Delivery teams to design practical, scalable AI‑enabled solutions.
- Supporting commercial negotiations, Statements of Work (SOWs), and consulting proposals through successful closure.
- Shaping commercial models for consulting engagements, strategic assessments, AI pilots, enterprise transformation programs, and managed services.
- Identifying opportunities to expand consulting relationships through advisory services, AI strategy, and supply chain transformation roadmaps.
- Working closely with Practice, Delivery, and Finance teams to develop scalable consulting offerings and reusable solution assets.
- Contributing to industry thought leadership, GTM strategies, conference presentations, and client workshops that strengthen the practice.
- Identifying recurring supply chain challenges that can be addressed through reusable consulting methodologies, AI accelerators, and industry‑specific solution frameworks.
- Staying current with emerging trends across AI, Supply Chain Planning, Manufacturing, Procurement, Logistics, Digital Supply Chains, Autonomous Planning, and Agentic AI.
- Capturing market intelligence, competitive insights, and customer feedback to continuously evolve consulting capabilities.
- Mentoring consulting teams on supply chain best practices, transformation methodologies, and executive advisory skills.
- Contributing to building repeatable consulting playbooks, domain accelerators, and AI‑enabled solution frameworks.
Qualifications & Experience
- 12–15 years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s/master’s degree in engineering, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline. MBA from a reputed institution is preferred.
- Deep expertise in end‑to‑end Supply Chain transformation, with experience across planning, procurement, manufacturing, inventory optimization, logistics, warehousing, and customer fulfillment.
- Proven experience leading large‑scale consulting and business transformation engagements for Fortune 500/Global 2000 clients, preferably in Consumer Goods, Manufacturing, Retail, Life Sciences, or Industrial sectors.
- Strong understanding of AI, Generative AI, Advanced Analytics, Optimization, and Digital Supply Chain capabilities, with the ability to translate business challenges into AI‑enabled transformation opportunities.
- Demonstrated success in executive consulting, business development, and solution shaping, including leading discovery workshops, developing transformation roadmaps, business cases, and executive presentations.
- Ability to engage and influence senior executives, including Chief Supply Chain Officers, COOs, Chief Procurement Officers, Manufacturing Leaders, and Digital Transformation executives.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience contributing to proposals, RFP responses, consulting sales, and strategic account growth.
- Exceptional analytical thinking, structured problem‑solving, and executive communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex business challenges into actionable recommendations.
- Demonstrated thought leadership through industry forums, client workshops, whitepapers, or consulting assets, with a passion for driving innovation in Supply Chain transformation.
- Proven ability to lead cross‑functional consulting teams, mentor junior consultants, and foster a collaborative, high‑performance culture.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience with leading consulting firms (Accenture, Deloitte, EY, PwC, KPMG, IBM Consulting, Capgemini Invent, Infosys Consulting, Cognizant Consulting, etc.) or leading Supply Chain transformation organizations.
- Experience with enterprise Supply Chain platforms such as SAP IBP, Kinaxis, o9 Solutions, Blue Yonder, Oracle SCM, Manhattan, Coupa, or similar solutions.
- Experience delivering AI‑enabled transformation programs or intelligent supply chain initiatives.

- Deliver measurable business outcomes through AI‑enabled supply chain transformation programs.
- Build long‑term executive relationships that lead to sustained consulting growth.
- Develop reusable consulting methodologies, AI accelerators, and industry playbooks that improve delivery quality and speed‑to‑value.
- Strengthen the practice’s reputation as a leading AI‑driven Supply Chain Transformation consulting partner.
Compensation
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors considered in making compensation decisions, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure, certifications, and business needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is up to $235,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period.
