Job Summary:
Surgical Technician / Operating Room Technician in a hospital setting. The position involves supporting surgical teams in the operating room, preparing and maintaining sterile environments, and assisting with complex orthopedic, neurological, and spine surgeries. The role requires a flexible and resilient professional capable of managing change and contributing to a diverse surgical team.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Dayshift, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting 10/05/2026 with an end date of 01/02/2027.
• Required Qualifications: Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) license required or NBSTSA or NCCT accepted; knowledge of surgical standards and practices typically acquired through graduation from a surgical technologist program and four or more years of related OR experience; minimum of 4 years of experience required; prior travel experience required; trauma level II experience required; candidate must have own vehicle and be able to respond within 30 minutes for call.
• Additional Information: Must have experience in orthopedic, neuro, and spine surgeries, including complex spine and neuro cases; able to scrub and assist across various specialties; adaptable in setting up operative suites, managing case carts, and maintaining sterile protocols; capable of assisting in multiple surgeries per day across 21 operating rooms; willing to assist with downtime tasks and mentor new hires; social, hard-working, resilient, and able to manage change effectively. The position may require floating to multiple facilities within a 50-mile radius, with the radius rule expiring on 09/25. Call responsibilities involve 6-8 weeknight calls and 1-2 weekend calls during the contract, with a 30-minute response time; on-call duties for complex spine, neuro, and crani cases.
• Charting/Equipment: Not applicable.
• Unit Specific Skillset: Efficient in setting up operative suites, managing case carts, scrubbing in a variety of surgical procedures, turning over OR rooms quickly, and assisting with complex operative cases.
