$34.98–$40.25/hour | Primarily Group Therapy | Potential PRN-to-FT Opportunity

Advanced Recovery Systems is opening a new location in Sandy Springs , and we're looking for a PRN IOP Clinician to join our growing team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced clinician looking to supplement their current schedule , gain additional clinical experience, or join a new program with the potential to transition from PRN to full-time as the program grows.

The ideal PRN clinician is available to pick up approximately 3 days per week . Because this is a new program, PRN hours may vary initially as the program ramps up , with the opportunity for additional hours as operations expand.

Schedule

Initial program schedule:
Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–6:30 PM EST

As the program becomes fully operational, the schedule is expected to transition to:

• Monday–Thursday: 12:00 PM–8:30 PM
• Friday: 9:00 AM–5:00 PM
• PRN Availability: The ideal candidate can offer approximately 3 days per week . As a new program, available PRN hours may vary initially and are expected to increase as the program becomes fully operational.

What You'll Do

The IOP Clinician will provide clinical services primarily through group therapy , supporting individuals receiving treatment for substance use and mental health concerns.

Responsibilities include:

• Facilitate therapeutic and psychoeducational groups
• Provide clinical support to patients within the program
• Complete required clinical documentation
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary treatment team
• Document according to ASAM and LOCUS criteria
• Maintain compliance with confidentiality, licensing, and accreditation standards
• Utilize HeatherAI , our AI-assisted documentation technology, to support efficient clinical documentation

The IOP Clinician is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care activities as directed by the Clinical Director. The IOP Clinician will be responsible for patient caseload and will provide group, individual, and family therapy. The IOP Clinician will conduct psychosocial and bio-psychosocial assessments. This Clinician will collaborate with the Treatment Team to formulate the Master Treatment Plan and assist in coordinating discharge planning. The IOP Clinician has primary responsibility for maintaining communication with the family, referral source and other service providers as needed.

 

Core Job Duties

 

1. Provides excellent individual, family and group therapy to assigned patients following
program curriculum provided by Clinical Director.
2. Completes all required documentation ensuring compliance with all company policies and
procedures, state regulations, Joint Commission standards and Medical Needs Criteria. This
includes the following documents:
a. Admission Documents and Consent
b. Biopsychosocial Assessment and Integrated Summary (72 hours)
c. Comprehensive Problem List
d. Integrated Master Treatment Plan and Updates (24 -72 hours based off payer)
e. ASAMs (24 hours, based on state standards)
f. Individual, family and group therapy session notes (24 hours)
g. Discharge Summary (72 hours)

3. Prior and ongoing outreach to prospective and current patients to ensure program engagement
to meet expected conversion rate.
4. Uses substance abuse and co-occurring therapeutic interventions and de-escalation techniques
to assist patients with accomplishing all treatment plans, goals and objectives and successfully
complete treatment.
5. Assesses patient for substance use disorders, risk to self or others and co-occurring mental
health disorders.
6. Uses therapeutic interventions to assist patients with accomplishing all treatment plans goals
and objectives and successfully complete treatment.
7. Manages aftercare recommendations and support that will prepare patient for maintaining
successful recovery.
8. Provides caseload management as per state requirements.
9. Participates in crisis intervention with patients as needed.
10. Participates with multidisciplinary teams such as Financial Case Managers to provide
appropriate aftercare planning and securing resources.
11. Completes documentation daily to meet metrics of 92% completion within compliance

 

OTHER REQUIRED TASKS:

Attend Daily Meetings as assigned by the Clinical Director.

Maintains positive relationships with all staff.

Participates effectively in multidisciplinary treatment plan reviews.

Maintains healthy boundaries with patients and staff.

Asks for and accepts feedback from supervisors.

Provides a safe and therapeutic environment to all staff and patients.

Communicates significant patient developments to supervisor.

Participates in Quality Improvement activities and contributes to the success of the organization.

Pursues professional development through participation in education and training programs.

Contributes positively to the morale of other staff members.

Provides licensure supervision as needed and assigned by Clinical Director.

Performs other tasks, as assigned, with flexibility in scheduling based on program needs.

Requirements

Qualifications

Education

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related human services field required

Licensure

• Current behavioral health license in the state of Georgia to practice required - LPC, LCSW, or LMFT
• Acceptable credentials may include Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or another related behavioral health discipline
• CPR and BFA certification required

Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of behavioral health experience required

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication & Written skills.
• Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding Patient Confidentiality laws.
• Knowledge of licensing and accreditation standards.
• Demonstrate proficiency in electronic medical records utilizing HeatherAI.
• Proficient in documenting medical standards per ASAM and Locus criteria.

  Based on post-licensed years of experience. 

• Full-Time Opportunity: $72,758–$83,782 annualized
