Kristof's Entertainment Center in Round Lake Beach, IL, is searching for an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Manager to join our team! What You'll Be Doing As an Assistant Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring our guests and team members have an exceptional experience. Here's what your day-to-day might look like: Leadership & Team Management: Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and coaching team members. Supervise staff during shifts, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Conduct performance coaching and provide corrective action when needed. Foster a positive and professional work environment that boosts employee morale. Address team concerns and elevate issues to management as appropriate. Guest Experience: Deliver outstanding customer service to every guest. Resolve guest complaints promptly and professionally. Monitor guest satisfaction and identify areas for improvement. Promote a fun, safe, and family-friendly atmosphere throughout the facility. Operations: Oversee daily operations across attractions, arcade, food and beverage areas, redemption counter, and event spaces. Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained during shifts. Monitor cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the facility. Food & Beverage: Support bar, kitchen, and concession operations. Monitor food safety and sanitation standards. Ensure responsible alcohol service and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Assist with inventory management and product ordering. What We're Looking For We’re seeking a candidate with the following qualifications and skills: Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience preferred. Experience in family entertainment, hospitality, food service, retail, amusement, or recreation industries is a plus. Skills: Strong customer service and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Basic computer and point-of-sale system knowledge. Certifications: Ability to obtain and maintain required alcohol service certifications if applicable. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Comfortable working in a high-energy, fast-paced environment. Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
