Must-Have:

• Experience with Impella post cardiac surgery.
• Experience with post cardiac surgery, pre/post cardiac cath/intervention.
• Experience with pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring and thermodilution PA cath monitoring.
• Experience with A-lines, vents, drips, sheaths, dialysis, and drawing ABGs.
• EPIC experience required.
• Ability to pass online EKG tele competency assessment before starting.
• Comfortable floating to different units based on the job description, without restrictions or special requests.

Description: These positions require experience in direct and indirect post cardiac surgery. Experience with pre/post cardiac cath/intervention is essential. Knowledge of pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring and thermodilution PA cath monitoring is necessary. Candidates must have 36- or 48-hour shifts available. The targeted patient ratio is 1:2. Travelers may be the first to float at the discretion of management. Floating may occur within the specialty cluster or to other units as needed. All travelers must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. The organization reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census. Travelers are not eligible for employee incentives. This is a Level 1 CVICU with open heart recovery, post-op valve replacement/repair, and aneurysm repair. Experience with a broad range of patient diagnoses, including cardiac conditions, is required. It is essential to demonstrate competency in various critical care skills, including the management of ventilated patients and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Candidates must be comfortable working in a high-acuity environment with advanced medical equipment. RTO requests must be included with the initial application submission, and no updates will be made post-offer. Maximum of 14 days of requested time off is allowed for the contract.
