Services are available to more than 72,000 Veterans living in a 2-county area of San Bernardino and Riverside.Location: 11201 Benton Street, Loma Linda, CA 92357Position Overview (Duties Include But Are Not Limited To)Participating in the health care team, under the direct supervision of the RN or MD/DO, providing a full range of basic nursing care to include but not limited to: Taking vital signs including weights and pulse oximetry with documentation, venipuncture/phlebotomy, acquisition of 12 Lead ECG's, finger stick blood sugar measurements, simple dressing changes, measuring intake and output, managing/emptying drainage devices, helping the patient to transfer from the bed to a chair and back, toileting, hygiene, ambulation, changes in position, comfort care, and other direct care related responsibilities.Interacting with patients, family members, professionals, and other supportive personnel involved in the delivery of patient care.Providing basic nursing care to the patient/resident that includes baths, personal hygiene, nutrition (feeding), elimination and intake and output.May work in clinics screening patients preoperatively / pre-procedural (i.e. EKG, phlebotomy, demographic, etc.) under the direction of a physician or mid-level provider in outpatient clinics.QualificationsUnited States Citizenship: Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is not possible to recruit qualified citizens in accordance with VA Policy.Education or Training: One year above high school with courses related to the [NA] occupation.
