Mohs Surgery Scheduler

Our Mohs Surgery Scheduler coordinates Mohs micrographic surgery appointments and ensures an efficient, patient-centered scheduling process.

Schedule: Monday through Friday

What You'll Do:

• Schedule all Mohs surgery procedures for all providers, pre-operative questions/consultations, and post-operative appointments in coordination with physicians and clinical staff. Confirm Mohs Appointments
• Contact patients to confirm availability, review instructions, and gather relevant medical history or documentation. i.e. medications, recent surgeries and other precautions surgeons will need to know prior to Mohs
• Coordinate scheduling with pathology labs, referring providers, and surgical teams to ensure availability of necessary resources
• Verify insurance coverage for all providers, obtain prior authorizations, and ensure all required documentation is received prior to surgery. Inform patients of financial obligation at time of service. Ensure RFS forms from the VA have been received and authorizations from the prisons have been received
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date surgical calendar, adjusting as needed for changes, cancellations, or emergencies

Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in medical scheduling in dermatology, surgery, or a specialty clinic required
• Knowledge of Mohs micrographic surgery and dermatologic procedures is highly desirable
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
