Staff Engineer II

Software Resources has an immediate, direct hire job opportunity for a Staff Engineer II with a major corporation in Phoenix, AZ. 4 days per week onsite, Fridays remote.

Job Summary:


Business Analyst - LFI Lead you'll be resonsible for supporting the organization by gathering, analyzing, and reporting on key business data. You'll utilize a strong willingness to spend significant effort learning Reg YY and other related reporting regulations (e.g. FR 2052a, FR Y-14, FR Y-15). Working in this role, you'll also partner with a team dedicated to developing, testing, and executing data for regulatory reporting specifically for LFI status. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for working with data.



Key Responsibilities:

• Development of business requirements, as needed for the FR 2052a, specifically to incorporate changes as required by FRB regulations for a Category III institution.
• Manage and participate in workshops to flush out and solve problems with certain requirements, defects, or questions.
• Provide input into Technology's deliverables to ensure Technology's implementation success.
• User Acceptance Testing of Technology's development before implementation into production
• Understanding of Client's FR 2052a rules and to reflect changes in the business requirements documents.
• Develop data visualizations to communicate key metrics and insights effectively.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of all reports delivered to internal stakeholders.
• Regularly update and optimize existing reporting processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and relevance.
• Perform analysis on datasets to identify trends, insights, and areas for improvement.
• Work with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into actionable analysis.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity by performing data validation and regular quality checks.
• Partner with teams across the business to gather data requirements and understand their analytical needs.
• Maintain documentation of reporting processes and methodologies.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, Business Administration, technology, or another related field required. Master's degree in relevant field is a plus.
• 7 years of experience in reporting, data analysis, or a similar role.
• 3 years of experience with data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and data visualization platforms (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) as well as handling and interpreting large datasets.
• Previous experience with or a willingness to learn and become a SME on Reg YY and other related regulations (e.g. FR 2052a, FR Y-14, FR Y-15).
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment.
• Intermediate to advanced experience using deep analytical skills with high attention to detail.
• Intermediate knowledge of general Financial Services or Banking is preferred.
• Intermediate knowledge of applicable regulatory and legal compliance obligations, rules and regulations, industry standards and practices.
• Intermediate speaking and writing communication skills.
• Occasional travel required.
