Unit Specifics: Number of Beds : 2,000+ deliveries each year, predominantly high risk population. 11 Labor Rooms plus 3 swing and 4 bed triage/3 Operating Rooms. 14 ante-partum beds Unit staffing description- All RN staff with unit secretary and OR surgical techs. OB Anesthesia designated Center of Excellence. Attending and OB resident staff. Doula program coming in 2024 Type of equipment : Documentation system: Epic and Centricity Perinatal (Epic coming 3/24) Scheduling requirements: 12 hour shifts Floating policy: to areas with competency. AMC has an internal float team that assists in filling holes Patient Experience requirements: L&D nurses required to float to high risk antepartum unit Hospital Specifics- Certifications: Academic Medical Center, Level 1 trauma center (adult); Children’s Hospital within a hospital. 60 bed Level IV NICU Must have: Labor and Delivery experience, high risk experience Advanced skills needed: Cesarean Sections, Inductions, Bariatric patients, other high-risk conditions, post-partum Mg Procedures performed on unit: NSTs, Cerclage, triage, recovery after C-section Certifications Required: Electronic Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, NRP Medical Solutions Job ID #1161429.
