Shop Technician

Shop TechnicianThe Shop Technician primarily works in the valve repair shop making repairs to customer property including frac valves, wellheads, spool, chokes, actuators, and other surface wellhead equipment as required.In this role, you will:Assemble and break down new or used equipment, inspect, repair, and test equipmentRead and interpret blueprints and drawingsExecute general shop maintenance such as cleanup of shop, work area and equipmentShipping and receivingClean, disassemble, pressure wash, reassemble, test, grease, and paint Wellhead and Frac equipmentNecessary upkeep of all hand and power toolsPerform duties for QHSE as related to safety and quality, training of personnel, safety & quality reports, logs, etc.Perform other duties as assignedRequired and preferred experience:Minimum 1 year of related experienceRead and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and proceduresWrite route reports and correspondenceCalculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, fraction, percentages, area circumference and volumeSolve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situation where only limited standardization existsLimited computer knowledgeDetermine the correct equipment and tools needed to do a job correctlyWork environment and physical requirements:Regularly required to stand, walk, talk or hear, use hands to manipulate with fingers, handle, or feel, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and reach with hands and armsOccasionally required to sitOperate, handle, push or pull, and lift shop equipment and tools and products up to 50 lbs. (SEF Energy employees shall not manually lift an item weighing more than 50 lbs., they shall utilize mechanical assistance devices. If mechanical assistance devices are not available, utilize a team lift.)Education:High school degree or equivalent preferred- this requirement may be waived if the applicant possesses two years of related experience and/or trainingThis is a high-level overview of the main job responsibilities; however, it is not meant to be an exhaustive list of duties.
