ETL Data Engineer - ETRM/SSRS

Salary: $78,000 - 118,000 per year Requirements:

• Expert-level Microsoft SQL Server skills, including database design, query optimization, performance tuning, stored procedures, and SSIS
• Strong experience developing and maintaining SSRS reports or comparable enterprise reporting solutions
• Hands-on Oracle experience with data extraction, integration, SQL development, and performance analysis
• Strong Python development skills for ETL, data engineering, APIs, automation, and data transformation
• Experience with Pandas, NumPy, and other data-processing libraries
• Experience designing and supporting data pipelines across multiple internal and external systems
• Strong knowledge of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, data quality, governance, and metadata management
• Experience supporting ETRM platforms and familiarity with energy trading, scheduling, settlements, risk, or related market processes
• Experience working with large datasets and validating, cleansing, reconciling, and integrating data from multiple sources
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Power Apps, or Power Automate is beneficial
• Familiarity with time-series data, market data, pricing, forecasting, or commodity trading datasets is an advantage
• Must live in the Houston area

• Build, improve, and support data flows connecting trading, operational, reporting, and analytical platforms
• Design databases, tune queries, write stored procedures, troubleshoot performance issues, and develop ETL processes for large data volumes
• Work across SQL, ETL, Python, reporting tools, and business discussions to investigate data issues and ensure figures reconcile
• Use reporting and Microsoft Power Platform tools to improve reporting, automate workflows, and provide business users with better access to data
