This is a part-time position in our upscale Lantern's Edge restaurant. The host is expected to work 3pm-11pm.

Join Our Team as a Host Person!

As the Host, you're the VIP guide to a fabulous dining adventure! You'll be the first to spot our guests and welcome them with a smile, whisking them off to their tables like a dining superhero. Throughout their meal, you'll team up with servers to make sure everyone's treated like royalty-friendly, attentive, and always on point. Plus, you'll help our cashier with payments, making sure every bill is smooth sailing and every tip counts. Ready to make every moment unforgettable? Step into the spotlight!

KEY SKILLS/RESPONSIBILITIES

Hospitality Heroes: Greet, seat, and shine! Make every guest feel like a VIP with your friendly vibes and positive attitude.
Appearance Avengers: Look sharp! Rock your uniform, nametag, and a big smile to impress everyone you meet.
Safety Superstars: Play it safe! Follow all the rules to keep guests and teammates happy, healthy, and secure.
Operations Orchestrators: Keep things flowing! Manage reservations, tables, and orders so the show goes on without a hitch.
Finance Fixers: Count it up! Help with payments and tips to make sure everything adds up just right.
Skill Builders: Level up! Join trainings, take on new tasks, and show off your teamwork and trustworthiness.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or relevant hotel/field experience preferred.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and multitasking skills required.
Demonstrated initiative and ability to meet deadlines consistently.
Ability to assimilate and analyze complex information from various sources and adapt as needed.
Competence in understanding financial data and performing basic arithmetic functions.

PROPERTY INFORMATION:

Perched atop the cliffs of Dana Point overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Laguna Cliffs Resort & Spa features 2 year-round heated swimming pools that offer child-friendly zones. This resort features a restaurant and full-service spa, as well as an indoor/outdoor lounge. Beach and harbor access is just 1,500 feet away. Each contemporary guest room at Laguna Cliffs Marriott Resort provides a flat-screen TV and a Bluetooh compatible Tivoli radio. Guest rooms include a coffee machine and plush robes. Ocean view rooms are available.
