Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

Description: Cross posting of Job ID: 3357110 & 3368365. RTO after booking is not allowed and is not allowed to be worked out onsite. Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR. Manager is looking for Medsurg skilled RNs for this MS/Onc unit.

Required Skills / Certs / Exp:

• Minimum Years of Experience: 2 years
• Traveler Experience: Will accept 1st time travelers.
• Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: Yes
• Skills: Experience in an inpatient setting is required, Med/Surg, Colostomy care, Accessing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line blood draw, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Heparin, Insulin, Surgical drains, Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleur-evac, Nasal Cannula, Non-invasive airway management, Isolation Precautions, Wound Care/Wound Vac
• Certs: Oncology certification preferred - Traveler must be able to administer chemo if needed. BLS

Preferred Skills / Certs / Exp:

• CPI
• Charge nurse experience, OCN

Job Details:

• Primarily Medical Surgical patients with Oncology history
• Target Ratios: 1:6
• Shift: NIGHTS
• 13-26 weeks accepted
• Call Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift.
• Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.
• Weekend Requirement: EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.
• Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as needed.

Patient Diagnoses:

• General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population.
• Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection.
• AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips

Unit Systems (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.

Unit Orientation: 24 hrs (2 shifts)

Scrubs: Navy Blue and white.

COVID-19 Vaccine: Not Required

Flu Vaccine: Required - Medical/Religious Exemptions Only

Guaranteed Hours: Contract Weeks: 91
