About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated individual who is passionate about early childhood education to join our team of caring professionals. The ideal candidate will be comfortable in various classroom settings and have a strong commitment to providing a safe and nurturing environment for our PreK students. A strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a focus on cleanliness and classroom management are essential qualities for this role. Our center prides itself on maintaining a low staff-to-child ratio and providing comprehensive management support from our director to owner.

The Teacher Assistant plays a vital role in supporting our teachers and director by fostering a caring and safe environment for our children. This involves collaborating with others, implementing a high-quality educational program, and developing positive relationships with families. Key responsibilities include observing and documenting children's interests and progress, communicating with parents, and assisting with activities that promote their growth and development.

• Implement curricula activities and encourage children's participation.
• Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment, ensuring all materials are readily available.
• Maintain regular communication with parents through informal discussions and progress reports.
• Model self-help and good hygiene behaviors for children.
• Ensure a smooth transition for children from home to our child care center.
• Adhere to all center policies and state regulations.
• Develop and maintain a professional development plan to enhance your skills and contribute to our center's continuous quality improvement.

• Must clear full background check and must pass health screening.
• Ability to work well with others.
• An understanding of child development.
• High energy.
• Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
• Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification desired, but can provide.
