Sales Development Manager
J.B. Hunt
Sales Development Manager The Sales Development Manager builds relationships with high-profile prospects and sells cross-divisional J.B. Hunt solutions. You'll identify opportunities, win new business, guide implementation, develop long-term account strategies and transition established accounts to internal sales teams. Key Responsibilities:
- Generate new business through cold calling, networking, data insights and sales tools.
- Meet with prospects to understand their needs, develop solutions, submit proposals, negotiate contracts and close business.
- Coordinate with customers and internal teams to plan and launch new solutions.
- Set clear implementation expectations and monitor account health, KPIs, revenue quality, growth opportunities and contract compliance.
- Create account growth strategies and opportunity roadmaps for a smooth transition to internal sales teams.
- Sales negotiation and closing
- Sales forecasting and future-focused planning aligned with business strategy and market opportunities
- Pipeline management and optimization
- High velocity prospecting
- High School Diploma/GED
- Three to four years of transportation, logistics or related experience
- Valid driver's license and a motor vehicle record that meets J.B. Hunt standards
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, logistics, communications or a related field
- Three to four years of transportation, logistics or related experience
- Two to three years of direct sales experience
