Shift: 7:00 AM 5:00 PM, Call from 5:00 PM 7:00 AM, Weekend Call included

Hours/Week: 40+ hours/week

Employment Type: Contract (Travel/Locum)

Licenses/Certifications: Current Physician Assistant license, BLS required

Experience: Minimum 3+ years in cardiothoracic surgery preferred

What You'll Do

Perform daily rounds for patient assessment and discharge planning

Assist in all cardiothoracic surgical procedures, including robotic surgeries, bypass grafting, valve replacements, and implantations

Manage post-operative care and monitor ICU and OR patients

Participate in on-call rotations, handling emergency procedures and patient management

Conduct history and physical exams, order labs, and develop treatment plans

Support multidisciplinary team rounds and documentation

Assist with chest tube management and patient discharges

What You Need

Valid Physician Assistant license in Washington State

BLS certification required

3+ years of experience in cardiothoracic surgery or critical care

Strong surgical assistance skills and knowledge of complex postoperative care

Ability to work flexible hours and handle emergency cases efficiently
