Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Preoperative Discipline: RN Start Date: 10/05/2026 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Pre-Operative Registered Nurse (PRE OP) Chattanooga, TN. This position involves providing specialized preoperative nursing care for surgical patients in a hospital setting. The role includes preparing patients for surgery, assisting with moderate sedation procedures, and delivering phase two recovery care. Job Details Certifications, Education, and Experience Requirements: Valid ACLS and PALS certifications; at least 1 year of experience in preoperative or surgical nursing; experience with IV starts, moderate sedation, and preparing surgical patients for surgery is required. Schedule: Days shifts, 12 hours, minimum of 36 hours per week. Additional Information: The role requires skills in IV starts, moderate sedation, preoperative and phase 2 recovery procedures. Responsible for getting surgical patients ready for surgery and assisting with post-procedure recovery. Floating policy limits work to Day Surgery and Preoperative Holding units. No weekends or holidays; the staff enjoys excellent teamwork and may work with new technology and equipment.
