Accounting Clerk Our client in Rockford, a leader in the manufacturing industry, is looking for an Accounting Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. Job Responsibilities: Process customer invoices, credit memos, and receipts accurately and in a timely manner. Monitor accounts to identify outstanding balances and ensure payments are received according to company terms. Contact customers regarding overdue invoices and resolve payment discrepancies or billing issues. Post daily deposits and reconcile accounts receivable transactions in the accounting system. Maintain and organize all customer billing records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Prepare weekly and monthly aging reports and assist with month-end closing activities. Communicate effectively with internal departments (sales, shipping, and customer service) to resolve invoicing or credit issues. Job Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred. 3+ years of experience in accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or accounting support role. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
