Java Microservices Developer

Software Engineer PositionWhat technical experience and skills are required for this position?Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field preferredTypically requires four to seven years’ experience based on consistently demonstrated capabilitiesTechnical skills may include experience with one or more of: J2EE/Java, Linux, Windows, Oracle, Apache Ignite/Cloud computingSolid expertise in J2EE/Java development (3-7 years)Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines is plusExperience in Bash scripting/Linux system administration is also a plusAny search engine experience (especially Elasticsearch) is a plusExperience in Spring Boot, Apache/Ignite technology is highly preferred.Experience using Kafka, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ or any messaging broker is a plusAdvanced task estimation and planning skillsAble to perform tasks with little or no technical supervisionExperience using Relational Databases (ex. Oracle/Informix/SQL Server etc.) and writing SQL queriesMust be a team player with great interpersonal and communication skills; time-management skills are criticalWhat will the person do in this role?Create, test and support software applications.Participate in design sessions with the Architects and produce low-level designs as necessaryCollaborate with other engineers in the team to deliver new capabilities. Coach and mentor other team members as needed.Quickly and effectively troubleshoot problems in development and production environmentsReview code and designs from other members on the team.Provide suggestions on performance improvements of existing platform.Coordinate with product owners and business partners to gather requirements and document them as needed.Provide production support and being active team member of on-call rotationAble to perform tasks with little or no technical supervision with solid problem solving, domain technical and analytical skills.
