Registered Nurse – Cardiac Cath Lab / EP

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Three 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 6:30 PM), Monday–Friday, plus call rotation (6–10 call shifts per schedule; 30-minute response time required)

Key Responsibilities

• Circulate in an active Cardiac Cath Lab and EP Lab environment, managing 10–25 cases per day including interventional, peripheral vascular, EP, MitraClip, TAVR, IABP, and EMTALA placements
• Operate and utilize Philips and Siemens imaging equipment, as well as Cerner and Xper EMR systems
• Participate in call rotation with a required 30-minute response time (6–10 call shifts per schedule)
• Fulfill weekend shift requirements (4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule) and rotate into holiday coverage
• Perform and maintain competency in sterile field techniques, including Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes as required through simulation lab assessment
• Collaborate with Radiology Technologists, Charge Nurses, and ancillary staff covering Cath Lab, Endo, and CVOR areas

Required Qualifications

• Active Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Must pass a Dysrhythmia Exam prior to contract start (passing score: 80%; two attempts allowed)
• Must pass a Day 1 Simulation Lab skills assessment (pass/fail; includes Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes)
• Demonstrated competency in sterile field technique
• Experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or EP Lab setting

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a high-volume or Level I Trauma environment
• Familiarity with Philips telemetry systems and Siemens imaging equipment
• Exposure to hybrid lab cases involving both vascular and cardiac procedures
