ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Operating Room (Day Shift) in Baltimore, Maryland.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

3x12-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM. On-call required: 1 on-call shift per week and 2 eight-hour weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule period. Every other weekend is required.

Job Description

This position is located in the General Operating Room at LBH Sinai Hospital, where the OR averages approximately 40 cases per day. The RN will provide care to pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients, functioning as part of the patient care team to deliver safe, age-appropriate care and serve as a resource for patients and families. The Operating Room supports advanced technology, minimally invasive techniques, evidence-based care, surgical education, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients in the Operating Room.
• Assist with various surgical procedures including trauma, ENT, orthopedic, general surgery, and more.
• Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration for optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize advanced technology and evidence-based practices in surgical care.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to safety protocols.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of Operating Room experience.
• Level II trauma experience is required; Level I trauma experience is preferred.
• Experience in trauma, ENT, colorectal, plastics, neurosurgery, surgical oncology, oral/dental, laparoscopic procedures, urology, ophthalmology, GYN, general surgery, orthopedics, robotics, vascular and thoracic procedures.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current Maryland or compact RN license required upon submission.
• BLS is required.
• 16-hour Maryland-approved trauma course is required.
• 8 hours of annual trauma CEUs are required.
• ACLS, NIH, and PALS certifications are preferred.
