Orthopedics Nurse Practitioner

Amergis Locum Tenens

We are seeking a skilled Orthopedic Surgery Nurse Practitioner to join a busy outpatient clinic in the Atlanta, GA area. This role focuses on a diverse orthopedic patient population, including hand, joint, and sports medicine cases, offering an excellent opportunity to work in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.

Position Details

Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
40 hours per week
No call required
Contract assignment with strong extension potential
Outpatient clinic setting
EMR: Epic
Local candidates only (no travel or lodging provided)

Clinical Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive physical exams, assessments, and screenings
Diagnose and manage orthopedic conditions
Order and interpret imaging and diagnostic tests
Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans
Provide patient education on injuries, recovery, and prevention
Assist with and perform in-office orthopedic procedures (based on experience)
Collaborate closely with physicians and clinical team

Patient Population

Orthopedic surgery clinic
Mix of hand, joint, and sports medicine patients

Minimum Requirements

Active Georgia Nurse Practitioner license
Board Certified NP (AANP, ANCC, or equivalent)
DEA license
BLS certification
At least 1 year of experience as an NP preferred
Must meet all federal, state, and local credentialing requirements
Must be local to the Atlanta area
