Job Title: Product/Electronics Assembler & Fulfillment Specialist

About Hull Shield

Hull Shield designs and manufactures marine ultrasonic antifouling systems that help keep boat and vessel hulls clean while reducing reliance on traditional antifouling methods. Our products range from recreational units to yacht, commercial, and government-grade systems.

We are a growing company based in Annapolis, Maryland, and this role is central to making sure our products are built correctly, tested properly, packaged professionally, and shipped accurately.

The Role

This is a hands-on, end-to-end production and fulfillment role. You will build our electronic units, test them, package and ship them, and keep the warehouse and inventory running accurately in our ERP system.

You own the physical product from components on the shelf to a tested, boxed, tracked package on a carrier's truck. If you like being trusted with the whole workflow rather than one narrow slice of it, this is that job.

What You'll Do

Assembly

  • Assemble ultrasonic control units, transducer assemblies, cables, connectors, and related components according to build instructions and work orders
  • Handle wiring, connectors, cabling, labeling, and mechanical assembly to specification
  • Follow documented production procedures to ensure consistency and repeatability
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe build bench

Quality Control

  • Bench-test finished units against QC specifications before shipment
  • Document QC results, serial numbers, build status, and any quality issues accurately
  • Identify, document, and set aside defects or nonconforming products
  • Flag recurring production, component, or quality issues for review
  • Ensure each unit meets our performance, safety, and finish standards before it leaves the facility

Packaging & Shipping

  • Package finished goods, accessories, manuals, and related materials to protect them in transit
  • Process orders in our shipping software, print labels, and schedule carrier pickups or drop-offs
  • Verify that each shipment includes the correct items, quantities, documentation, and shipping information
  • Maintain accurate shipment records and tracking information

Warehouse & Inventory

  • Receive incoming shipments, verify quantities against purchase orders, and stock components and finished goods
  • Keep the warehouse organized, labeled, clean, and orderly
  • Run cycle counts and help keep physical stock reconciled with system inventory
  • Monitor stock levels and flag reorder needs before materials run short
  • Organize components, finished goods, packaging materials, tools, and supplies so production can run efficiently

ERP System

  • Process manufacturing orders, work orders, inventory moves, receipts, and finished goods in our ERP system
  • Keep inventory records accurate and current
  • Use the ERP system as the source of truth for what we have, what we are building, and what has shipped
  • Work in Odoo, our current ERP system, after training
  • Help improve ERP workflows, inventory accuracy, and production procedures as the company grows

What We're Looking For

  • Hands-on mechanical and electronics aptitude
  • Comfortable assembling small electronic and mechanical products
  • Strong attention to detail and a real ownership mindset about quality
  • Experience with shipping software, carrier label generation, and fulfillment workflows
  • Warehouse and inventory experience, with discipline around counts, locations, and accuracy
  • Comfortable using computers, ERP systems, inventory systems, shipping software, and basic office tools
  • Reliable, organized, and able to manage the full workflow independently once trained
  • Willingness to follow procedures, document work accurately, and ask questions when something does not look right

Nice to Have

  • Bench-testing or electronics QC experience
  • Prior manufacturing, fulfillment, warehouse, inventory, or production experience in a small or growing company
  • Familiarity with marine, electronics, hardware, or technical products
  • ERP experience on any platform
  • Odoo experience
  • Experience with serial number tracking, work orders, inventory control, or production documentation

Physical Requirements

  • Able to lift and move packages, inventory, and materials up to approximately 50 lbs
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, organize shelves, pack boxes, and work hands-on throughout the day
  • This is an on-site role based in Eastport, Annapolis, Maryland

Why This Role

You will be the person who makes sure our product is built right, tested right, packed right, and shipped right.

This is a high-trust, high-visibility role with room to grow as the company grows. You will have a direct impact on product quality, customer experience, inventory accuracy, and day-to-day operations.
