The Role We contract with 1099 therapists who are clinically licensed in Alaska plus additional states, who provide therapy and support to clients (students) using the TimelyCare platform. Mental Health Counseling is part of a broad range of TimelyCare's digital health services extended to members of higher education, primarily college students. As a licensed clinical therapist with TimelyCare, you will offer therapy for the students we serve, partner with them to identify needs, collaborate and develop treatment plans, and guide them to other appropriate TimelyCare services (Medical, Psychiatry, etc.). We have a mental health team that consists of Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Professional Counselors (LPC/LMHC), Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), and Clinical Psychologists (LP/LCP). This is a remote position, reviewing candidates licensed in AK. Requirements for Contracted Services Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Preferred: Licensed Clinical Psychologist (Ph.D. or Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology, LP/LCP) Active State License(s) in AK, plus additional licenses as a plus Strong clinical documentation, assessment, and active listening skills Experience with crisis intervention/de-escalation and safety/treatment planning Background in providing services to young adults, adolescents, at-risk populations, and/or experience working in community mental health, crisis triage, or a college counseling environment What Our Contracted Therapists Do Provide therapeutic counseling services and treatment planning to a primarily young adult population Document concurrently and submit HIPAA-compliant documentation using TimelyCare's electronic health record Develop and submit treatment plans and progress notes following each session Communicate cross-functionally with other teams/departments to support care continuation as needed Adhere to established standards for documentation quality and code of ethics Expectations for Contracted Services Work with the student/client to establish and develop treatment goals and document accordingly Utilize active listening skills and evidence-based modalities (SFBT, CBT, DBT, MI, ACT) to build rapport, establish boundaries, and progress client care Submit appropriate documentation in the EHR (TimelyCare platform) in a punctual manner Be prepared to adapt to the changing needs of the population we serve Remain calm and maintain composure during potential high-stress scenarios Respond with empathy, professionalism, and meet clients where they are Model respectful conduct with all students, peers, and support staff Highlights of Contracted Services Timely: Expected session time is 45–50 minutes, with time remaining for documentation (60 minutes total) Bye-bye burnout: Provide remote care from home or a professional office space while maintaining a healthy work/life balance Hassle-free: Don’t worry about reimbursement, billing codes, or insurance credentialing. TimelyCare does not work with insurance providers and partners directly with colleges and universities. Students can use TimelyCare’s services without insurance or costly co-pays. Independent, contracted therapists can set their own schedule any time Monday–Sunday Motivated clients: The student population TimelyCare serves is composed of motivated, high-functioning students in higher education institutions ready to participate in behavioral health services Professional boundaries: Clients will not have access to your phone number or email Per-session rate is discussed upon interview and depends on education level, licensure breadth, and clinical experience. The higher end of this range is reserved for doctoral-level candidates.
