Senior Designer NYC

We are seeking a creative and experienced Senior Designer to join our team and lead design initiatives across various projects. The Senior Designer will be responsible for producing high-quality visual materials that align with our brand identity and communication goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing design expertise, excellent project management skills, and the ability to provide creative direction to a team. Responsibilities Lead and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance and feedback, and fostering a collaborative and innovative design environment Set a high standard for design quality and ensure that all design outputs are visually compelling, engaging, and aligned with brand guidelines Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop design solutions for a range of projects, including digital, print, branding, and marketing materials Provide creative direction and oversee the execution of design concepts, ensuring they meet project objectives and resonate with the target audience Develop and maintain a consistent and cohesive visual identity across all touchpoints, adhering to brand guidelines and ensuring brand integrity Contribute to the evolution of brands’ visual language and identity in response to changing market trends and business needs Manage design projects from concept to completion, including defining project scope, timelines, and resource allocation Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and partners to ensure timely delivery of design assets Create and produce a wide range of design materials, including graphics, illustrations, layouts, presentations, and digital assets Apply a user-centered design approach to ensure that design solutions are intuitive, functional, and aesthetically pleasing Stay updated on design trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative ideas into design projects Leverage market insights to make informed design decisions and recommendations Review and provide constructive feedback on design deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project goals Salary Range $85,000 – $105,000 Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus. 6 years post college experience at a design firm, studio, or marketing firm Proven experience as a Senior Designer or similar role with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design work. Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign). Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and visual composition. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey design concepts and rationale to both creative and non-creative audiences. Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and mentor a design team. Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks. Ability to manage high-volume work to meet tight deadlines are critical. Understanding of digital and print production processes. A proactive and collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
