Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Public Assistance in Philadelphia, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a cultural institution, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience for visitors, staff, and guests. You will communicate professionally, respond to concerns, and contribute to Allied Universal’s caring, reliable, and integrity-driven culture through teamwork and exceptional service.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, volunteers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout galleries, public areas, collection-adjacent spaces, entrances, and the surrounding perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor visitor activity and support posted museum guidelines, helping to maintain an orderly and welcoming environment while protecting the guest experience.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, medical situations, and other critical events in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document observations according to site procedures.
• Assist with access management, visitor directions, and security-related communications while maintaining professional interactions with diverse members of the public.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
