Clinic Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) or Medical Lab Technician (MLT)

Laboratory TechnicianCollects, processes, and performs clinical laboratory testing on specimens from neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. Is responsible for quality assurance and instrument maintenance. Reports to the Clinic Laboratory Supervisor. Compensation We are committed to providing wage ranges for all open positions. Please note that the specific compensation for this role will be determined based on experience, education and internal equity considerations. The hourly wage range for this position is MLS $32.13–$45.35; MLT $23.47 — $33.14. This range reflects the base salary for this position.Key AccountabilitiesCollects blood specimens and evaluates the acceptability of both blood and non-blood specimens for laboratory testing.Accessions and processes specimens to prepare them for laboratory testing.Performs waived, routine and high complexity laboratory tests within all areas of the laboratory.Reports patient test results according to established laboratory policies.Performs quality control testing and instrument checks.Performs staff competency evaluations.Performs instrument preventative maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.Performs clerical functions associated with each laboratory area.Practices Universal Body Substance Precautions.Required QualificationsGraduate of a bachelor's degree accredited program in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or Clinical Laboratory ScienceMLS/MT American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) certified (or obtain within 6 months of start date)Must be enrolled in NH+C RQI program for BLS certification and complete the requirements within 90 days of enrollment.
