Benefits Competitive compensation Health, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance 401(k) plan with generous company match Critical illness benefit Paid time off Employee assistance program Pay Range: $24.00 - $28.00/hr Job Type: Full Time, Part Time, Per Diem Job Summary The Home Health Aide is a paraprofessional member of the home care team who works under the supervision of a registered nurse or therapist and performs various personal care services as necessary to meet the patient's needs. The home health aide is responsible for observing patients, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care performed. Duties and Responsibilities Provide personal care including: Baths Back rubs Oral hygiene Shampoos Change bed linen Assist patients with dressing and undressing Nail & Skin care to prevent breakdown Assist the patient with toileting activities Keep patient's living area clean and orderly Other duties include: Plan and prepare nutritious meals. Assist in feeding the patient Take and record oral, rectal and axillary temperatures, pulse, respiration and blood pressure when ordered. Assist in ambulation and exercise according to the plan of care. Perform range of motion and other simple procedures as an extensional therapy service as ordered. Assist patient in the self-administration of medication. Do patient's laundry Meet safety needs of patients and using equipment safely and properly (foot stools,side rails, etc.) Report on patient's condition and significant changes to the assigned nurse Job Requirements Active Home Health Aide Certification through CA Department of Public Health Maintain a current CPR certification Home Health experience preferred Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order Why Muir Home Health?
