Radiology - Ultrasound / Sonographer

Ultrasound Technologist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day shifts on Monday and Tuesday, and a night shift on Wednesday.

The Ultrasound Technologist will work in a small ultrasound department with three rooms and one portable machine, performing diagnostic imaging procedures for a daily census of 6-12 patients.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct ultrasound examinations, including but not limited to abdominal, obstetric, and vascular studies.
• Prepare patients for exams and provide appropriate care during procedures.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and comfort throughout all examinations.
• Utilize proper techniques for ultrasound imaging and assure image quality.
• Document patient interactions and results accurately in the electronic medical record system (Epic).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Ultrasound Technologist.
• ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB), Breast (BR), and OB/GYN required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) certification preferred.
• Current California state license required; pending licenses accepted.
