Contract | Days | Monday–Friday, 5 x 8-hour shifts with 2 evenings until 6:30 PM

Key Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop, implement, and modify individualized treatment plans in alignment with patient needs, goals, and physician direction
• Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical record documentation including goal writing, functional quality indicator assessments, letters of medical necessity, and charge entry
• Design functional treatment programs focused on progressing patients toward discharge within an established length of stay and facilitating return to community activities
• Delegate and direct discipline-specific therapy services for assigned patients while ensuring care is provided under valid physician orders and within insurance approvals
• Serve as an educator to patients, families, students, and coworkers; participate in student programs by providing supervision, developing learning objectives, and completing student evaluations
• Adhere to the applicable State Practice Act and all regulatory requirements; maintain professional licensure in good standing and fulfill continuing education obligations

Required Qualifications

• Active Physical Therapist license in good standing (Virginia or eligibility to obtain)
• New graduates are welcome to apply
• Ability to complete documentation in compliance with state, federal, and payer guidelines
• Commitment to patient and employee safety standards and safe patient handling practices

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience or clinical rotations in outpatient orthopedics
• Familiarity with functional quality indicators and outcomes-based documentation
• Demonstrated interest in professional development through continuing education and involvement in professional organizations
