Dental Associates of Florida is seeking a Dental Assistant to join our team and travel with our Endodontist, supporting offices in Lakeland, Temple Terrace, Lutz, and Sun City, FL. In this role, you will assist our clinical team in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring a high level of patient satisfaction, all while thriving in a collaborative, team-based environment.

Position Overview: As a Dental Assistant you are an integral part of care team in providing support to the office and assisting the professional dental staff with treatment. Responsibilities

• Clinical Support: Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and assist dentists during procedures.
• Patient Care: Welcome, comfort, and educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Radiography & Diagnostics: Take and develop X-rays, assist with impressions, and maintain study models.
• Compliance & Safety: Ensure infection control protocols, maintain patient confidentiality, and follow workplace regulations.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, including scheduling and patient intake (if needed)
• Helps dentist manage dental and medical emergencies by maintaining CPR certification, emergency drug and oxygen supply, and emergency telephone directory.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Completion of a one-year certified dental assistant program
• or
• One year or more on-the-job-experience (with supporting documentation)
• EFDA and X-Ray certification, required
• Nitrous Oxide certification is highly recommended
• High school diploma or equivalent

Dental Assistant are also expected to maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA, CPR, and infection control training as required by law.
