Job Overview As a Field Merchandiser, you will work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, build retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations as needed. Occasionally you may work with other products from other companies in the stores you service. Salary and Schedule Details Your starting hourly pay rate will be $16.00 to $18.00 depending on your skills and experience. We provide paid training delivered through live, hands‑on instruction as well as virtual classroom training. Half‑time employees are offered voluntary benefits that include medical, dental, vision, and other health plans. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week. Average weekly hours are between 9 and 11 hours per week. Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required. Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support. Role and Responsibilities Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Technology is critical for communication with your supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys. You will interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers and will be responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at your assigned stores. Holiday support: Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may work additional days and extended hours. You may be required to work on the holiday itself, including weekends. Department resets: At times you will be part of a team responsible for installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Assignments are typically notified two weeks in advance and may include evenings or weekends. One‑Team Vision: As part of Hallmark’s field organization, you are part of a network of merchandisers who support one another across territories. Physical Requirements This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds, and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, stand, and may need to climb stairs or step ladders. Basic Qualifications Minimum 18 years of age. Ability to read, write, and understand English. Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally. Ability to operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents and interpret information. Access to Wi‑Fi and the internet. Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
