Vape Retail & Barista Associate

We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and motivated Retail & Barista Associate to join our team. Our shop offers a unique combination of vape and specialty retail products along with freshly prepared coffees, teas, and specialty beverages.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with customers, learning about products, making drinks, and creating a welcoming environment. Previous vape product knowledge and/or barista experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right person who is motivated to learn.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, knowledgeable customer service
• Learn and maintain knowledge of vape products, devices, accessories, e-liquids, and related merchandise
• Help customers select products based on their needs and preferences
• Prepare coffees, teas, and specialty beverages according to shop recipes and standards
• Operate espresso, beverage, and POS equipment
• Process cash and credit/debit transactions accurately
• Restock merchandise and beverage supplies
• Maintain clean and organized retail, beverage, counter, and customer areas
• Follow proper cleaning and sanitation procedures for beverage equipment
• Verify customer identification and follow all applicable age-restricted product requirements
• Assist with receiving inventory, stocking, and product organization
• Learn new products and beverage offerings as they are introduced
• Help create a relaxed, welcoming experience that encourages repeat customers

What We're Looking For

The ideal candidate is someone who is:

• Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with customers
• Reliable and punctual
• Willing and able to learn detailed product information
• Comfortable recommending and explaining products to customers
• Able to learn drink recipes and consistently prepare quality beverages
• Organized and able to keep the store clean during slower periods
• Comfortable working independently when necessary
• Able to multitask between retail customers and beverage orders
• Sales-minded without being overly pushy
• At least 21 years of age

Preferred Experience

Experience in any of the following is a plus:

• Vape or smoke shop retail
• Coffee shop or barista work
• Specialty beverage preparation
• Retail sales
• Customer service
• POS/cash-handling experience

Vape and barista experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train someone with the right attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn.
