Experienced Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Bilingual

Pay: $17.00–$21.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications About the Position Kashat Pharmacy is seeking an experienced, dependable, and customer-focused Pharmacy Technician to join our team! We are looking for someone with strong prescription processing skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to provide friendly, efficient service in a busy community pharmacy environment. The ideal candidate will be confident in prescription data entry, medication counting and preparation, insurance billing, and communicating with patients in English and Arabic and/or Chaldean. Key Responsibilities Accurately enter and process new prescriptions and refills, including prescription data entry and insurance claim processing. Count, package, label, and prepare medications for pharmacist verification. Troubleshoot prescription insurance rejections and assist with coverage-related issues. Provide excellent customer service in person and over the phone. Communicate professionally with patients, prescribers, and insurance representatives. Assist with medication inventory, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and processing returns. Maintain accurate patient records, protect patient confidentiality, and assist with daily pharmacy operations. Follow pharmacy policies, procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations. Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of pharmacy technician experience , preferably in retail or community pharmacy. Current PTCB certification (CPhT). Bilingual proficiency in English and Arabic and/or Chaldean. Strong typing skills, with demonstrated speed and accuracy in prescription data entry and processing. Experience counting and preparing medications for pharmacist verification. Experience with prescription insurance billing and resolving claim rejections. Excellent customer service, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to multitask, maintain accuracy, and work efficiently in a fast-paced pharmacy environment. Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working collaboratively with pharmacy staff. Preferred Qualifications Experience using Rx30 pharmacy management software. Experience billing Medicare Part B for diabetic testing supplies and/or nebulizer medications. Previous experience working in an independent community pharmacy. Preferred qualifications are a plus but are not required for consideration. Work Schedule Full-time and part-time opportunities available, with an immediate opening. Monday–Friday: Shifts scheduled between 7:30 AM and 5:00 PM. Saturday: Rotating shifts from 8:30 AM to 1:00 PM. Sundays and holidays: Closed. Specific weekly hours and scheduling flexibility will be discussed during the hiring process.
