Northwind Health is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented  Shipping Rotation Associate / Pharmacy Technician Trainee to join our team. This developmental role provides hands-on experience in both our  Prescription (RX) Shipping Department and  Warehouse Shipping Operations while preparing employees for enrollment and successful completion of Northwind Health's Pharmacy Technician Training Program.

The goal of this position is to develop team members into licensed Pharmacy Technicians through practical operational experience, structured training, and professional development.

Responsibilities

RX Shipping Rotation

• Accurately prepare, package, and ship prescription medications in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Verify shipping documentation and prescription order information for accuracy.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
• Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment within the pharmacy.
• Support pharmacists and pharmacy staff with operational tasks as assigned.
• Ensure orders are shipped within established service-level expectations.

Warehouse Shipping Rotation

• Pick, pack, and prepare products for shipment accurately and efficiently.
• Receive, organize, and stock incoming inventory.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely following company procedures.
• Perform inventory counts and assist with inventory control activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
• Support quality assurance processes to ensure order accuracy.

Pharmacy Technician Development Program

• Participate in Northwind Health's Pharmacy Technician Training Program.
• Complete all required coursework, training modules, and competency assessments.
• Work toward obtaining Pharmacy Technician licensure/registration as required by state regulations.
• Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer and data-entry skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout the workday.
• Prior warehouse, shipping, healthcare, or pharmacy experience is preferred but not required.

Employees are expected to successfully rotate through RX Shipping and Warehouse Shipping functions while actively participating in Northwind Health's Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Upon meeting program requirements and obtaining licensure, employees may be eligible for advancement into Pharmacy Technician roles within the organization.
