Benefits you can count on: Pay Rate: Drivers make up to $100,000 for qualified candidates depending on experience Route Information: varies Day 1 Benefits: medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA and company-paid life insurance. What you'll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:
- Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
- Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
- Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
- Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
- Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications you'll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:
- At least 21 years of age
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
- At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
- Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
- This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
