Job Summary:
Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) registered nurse located in a healthcare facility in Corpus Christi. This role involves providing specialized care to neonates in a Level II NICU and newborn nursery, including ventilator management, assisting with eye exams, feeding tube insertions, and IV placements. Candidates must be adaptable to unit policies and able to work night shifts as scheduled.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred; valid nursing license; ventilator experience; experience with infants over 23 weeks gestation; no minimum experience required.
• Preferred Qualifications: Ventilator/Oscillator skills; Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition, and Stabilization (PEARS) certification; experience with cPN charting is a plus.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
• Additional Information: The unit comprises 32 beds with a staff of 63, including night charge nurses, unit clerks, and nurses. Responsibilities include intubations, assisting with eye exams, feeding tube insertions, and IV insertions. Candidates should possess a good team attitude and be able to maintain unit policies and guidelines. This role involves working three to four weekends per month, with no on-call responsibilities.
