Clinical Research Coordinator - Pathology

Title: Clinical Research Coordinator – Pathology Department: Pathology Work Site: Campus – hybrid across CALM facility (10300 Campus Point Drive) and Biomedical Sciences Building at main campus Appointment: Career, 100 % Pay Scale: $38.74–$62.29 per hour (Annual full pay range $80,889–$130,062) Work Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8‑hour shifts; hybrid schedule Filing Deadline: Mon 6/15/2026 Responsibilities Coordinate all research studies conducted at PALMS, IPATH, and the basic research laboratory Manage laboratory supplies and procurement for ongoing studies Maintain laboratory safety and ensure staff are up to date with safety training Maintain regular contact with study sponsors and track study procedures Manage regulatory documents and ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines Plan, develop, and implement start‑up procedures for new studies Lead and coordinate operational efforts, including quality assurance of clinical data Provide direction and guidance to investigators and educate the public about ongoing trials Assist PIs with proposals, progress reports, and manuscripts Create original documents, policies, and work closely with regulatory officials as needed Perform additional duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Biology, Microbiology or related basic science or social science Demonstrated experience in clinical trials research, including protocol design, data collection and evaluation Laboratory management experience Experience leading and managing a large research team Experience performing research in an environment such as a CRO, academic institution or research hospital Ability to provide work direction and assist supervisors in maintaining an efficient research team Creative and innovative problem‑solving skills; resourcefulness and ability to establish useful resources and contacts Judgment to discern tasks that require independence from those that need supervisory input Working knowledge of medical and scientific terminology Strong problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution abilities Excellent organization and prioritization skills; meticulous attention to detail Administrative coordination skills; independent judgment to prioritize office functions Computer proficiency: word processing, spreadsheets (Microsoft Office) and internet browsers; internet research skills Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills; diplomatic and tactful interaction with diverse personalities Special Conditions Employment subject to criminal background check Occasional evenings and weekends may be required Compliance and Background Checks Background checks will be conducted as a condition of employment.
