Perform or delegate tasks such as hardware design, system programming, installation coordination, system and network commissioning, and project closeout. Take responsibility for the overall financial results of assigned projects, including costs, project billings, and collections. Maintain an effective balance between customer satisfaction and project financial results while actively pursuing selling of change orders. Coordinate communication with the customer throughout all project phases and ensure proper execution of warranty. Provide work direction to subcontractors, electrical installers, technicians, designers, and administrative staff as necessary. Ensure all work complies with state, local, and federal legal requirements and adheres to Johnson Controls safety standards. Oversee subcontractor payment and billing processes and manage selection, ordering, budgeting, and delivery schedules of project materials. Validate complete system functionality, resolve issues, and provide accurate project as‑built and commissioning documentation. Mentor and provide technical assistance to System Technicians, Electrical Installers, System Designers, and subcontractors. Communicate project status to management and provide monthly forecasts of revenue, costs, and gross margin. Develop project plans and coordinate required resources to ensure timely and cost‑effective installation and completion. Provide site‑specific training for owner/operator on the total system and deliver accurate documentation and manuals. Build and maintain long‑term relationships with contractors, clients, consultants, and subcontractors. How You Will Do It Complete typical installation hardware design and software programming using established standards as needed. Communicate design and operation details to customers, Johnson Controls staff, and subcontractors. Evaluate contractual scope and the impact of client‑issued bulletins, field directives, and scheduling changes. Manage ordering, budgeting, and delivery of materials, securing pricing and availability from vendors and subcontractors. Acquire multiple bids when appropriate and oversee subcontractor payment and billing processes. Coordinate jobsite activities for panel and field device locations and ensure installation meets Johnson Controls literature and project requirements. Lead system controller loading, device verification, and commissioning, ensuring accurate operation. Provide accurate project as‑built and commissioning documentation and manage costs, billings, and collections. Ensure timely and accurate completion of project billings, maintaining profitability goals and positive cash flow. Send warranty letters upon substantial completion and enforce warranty execution. Qualifications Required: Associate’s degree with two years of field experience or four years of equivalent HVAC industry experience. Must be able to service the Amarillo area. Relevant technical hands‑on experience in systems design and commissioning of digital HVAC control systems. Ability to communicate technical material to a non‑technical audience. Demonstrated ability to perform work independently. Strong personal computer skills. Knowledge of control theory and HVAC systems is required. Knowledge of project accounting, costing principals, and contracting is preferred. Compensation HIRING SALARY RANGE: $76,000 – $101,000. This role offers a competitive bonus plan that will consider individual, group, and corporate performance. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role, but exceptional candidates may bring unique skills and experiences that exceed the typical profile.
