Mechanical Design Engineer for a leading automation integrator based near Tempe, AZ. This role is responsible for the design, development, analysis, and implementation of custom automated machinery and robotic systems.

responsibilities:

• Responsible for the design, development, analysis, and implementation of custom automated machinery and robotic systems

• Develop detailed 3D models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings using SOLIDWORKS

• Design components for strength, reliability, manufacturability, serviceability, and cost.

• Develop machine layouts and mechanical interfaces between automation systems and customer equipment.

• Design mechanical systems around industrial robots, including FANUC and other robotic platforms.

• Develop machine concepts based on customer requirements and project specifications.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field.

• 3+ years of mechanical design engineering experience

• Proficiency with SOLIDWORKS 3D modeling, assemblies, and drawings

• Experience with FEA and structural analysis

Preferred:

• Experience designing automated machinery and robotic systems.
