Senior Structural Analysis Engineer

Senior Structural Analysis Engineer Location: Kennedy Space Center, Florida. The position is 100% onsite with a 9/80 schedule. Requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (TS/SCI), U.S. citizenship, and the ability to obtain TS/SCI if not already held. Position Responsibilities Develop, integrate, and document structural requirements to establish the system design Guide product design and verify structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle. Develop test plans and configurations, support test execution and analyze and report test results to validate and verify that systems and components meet requirements and specifications. Develop and maintain analytical processes and tools to improve effectiveness, quality and efficiency of development and sustainment efforts. Work with multi-discipline teams to support mechanical subsystem and payload integration product definition including layouts, detail parts, and installation datasets. Support trade studies to identify and evaluate multiple potential design and build options. Provide on-site support for on-vehicle installation and test. Recommend engineering dispositions to hardware non-conformances and anomalies. Support proposal preparation and new business development efforts. Work with team leads to define project plans and provide regular progress updates. Qualifications Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences). Typically 9 or more years of related work experience. Proficiency with stress analysis software (e.g., Nastran/Patran, Hypermesh, Abaqus, etc.). Strong communication skills to interface with different program and customer teams. Experience providing structural analysis support for part fabrication, on-vehicle installation, and manufacturing nonconformances. Additional Information Relocation is offered based on candidate eligibility. The position is for 1st shift.
